GOOD MORNING, FRIENDS
On today’s podcast I talked with another salad-stan, Savvy Rain one of favorite local bartenders, who is currently working at Asheville Proper. Savvy has some great advice on where to get great salads around town, including at The Proper, which is an old school steak house!
The newsletter has a lot of local food news, and a recommend or two…

THE RECOMMEND
I got this insanely buttery, flakey, crispy, crunchy, moist, and delicious almond croissant at The Rhu the other day, and I can not recommend it highly enough! It’s a very substantial pastry, filled with almond paste, and topped with a tiny amount something sweet, possibly pastry cream, and toasted almonds. I had it with a cup of coffee and I was in heaven. The Rhu is located on South Lexington Street, right downtown. I go there a lot, and love their food, the people who work there, and the atmosphere!
