BELOW - Newsletter - GMF, Harvest Pizza For Lunch?, Enka Candler Tailgate Market
GOOD MORNING, FRIENDS!
How are you on this Monday morning? It looks like a nice day out there, so get on out and have some good times in the beautiful mountains of WNC if you can! I took the weekend off from doing my newsletter, but I’m working on a fixed schedule for it that will include special guests on the podcast, and new features in the newsletter. Please stay tuned and subscribe if you haven’t already!
WHAT’S FOR LUNCH?
Today I’m having lunch with Mike Napelitano, former co-owner of Manicomio Pizza. Mike sold his half of the business to his long-time partner Jon last year, and in case you’re wondering, the pizza is still amazing, I had some just last week. So, where should Mike and I go to eat? I had a crazy thought: Harvest Pizza opens TODAY. Should I bring Mike to Harvest Pizza?!? Let me know in the comments section if you think that Manicomio Mike and I should hit up Harvest Pizza for lunch today!
ENKA-CANDLER TAILGATE MARKET
My friend Sam Kosik from Mother Ocean Market really wanted me to try some pizza from the Pizza Daddy cart that parks at the Enka-Candler Tailgate Market at over there at AB-Tech in the Western Hinterlands.
The pizza was GREAT, as was a bunch of the other food at the market. Shout out to Better Thymes for their awesome granola and hot sauces, DJ’s Pickles for the great pickle samples & pickle butter (I have not tried it yet), Caitlyn Farms Sustainably Raised Beef for the information about their mountain-raised, grass-fed beef, and the frozen sample (I will cook that later and share pictures if they look good!), and Pierachy Mindful Pastries for the yummy GF brownie, and truly scrumptious shepherds pie, also GF.
The Enka-Candler Tailgate Market is about to close for the cold weather season, so I think you have two more weeks to get there, and then you’ll have to look for these vendors and food products elsewhere. Please reach out to them, and follow them on social media.
