GOOD MORNING, FRIENDS…

I hope you’re having a great week so far! I’ve been hammering away at the final installment of the 2021 Asheville Food Fans awards nominations. It’s the hardest installment for me to write, because it’s the nominees for best Food Truck, Food Maker, New Restaurant, Restaurant & Chef. I put a lot of pressure on myself to get it right. I’ll let you know when I get them posted, and then I’ll announce the winners in all 24 categories shortly after that!

THE RECOMMEND

When you’re a little kid, “gummies” are a lot different than when you’re an adult. For one thing, little kids are usually monitored on their gummy intake by responsible adults, whereas grown-ups can eat as many as we want and ain’t nobody stop us! If you eat too many gummies as a kid, you might get hyper-active, and maybe have a tummy ache. Eat too many as an adult, and you could melt right into there couch for 7 hours, or just freak out completely.

Earthy adult gummies are available at Sunfroot

It’s best to know what you’re doing when it comes to adult gummies, and if you want to get some very trust-worthy advice from experienced people who know their stuff, I very much recommend that you go to Sunfroot on Battery Park Ave in downtown Asheville, and ask them about their locally made Earthy adult gummies, which are infused with legal cannabinoids derived from hemp grown right here in North Carolina!

PIZZA FIGHT: PLAY AT HOME

The 2nd WNC Pizza Fight is a judges'-table-only competition, not open to the public, but the public can play along at home with these score sheets! Click HERE and HERE download and print them out, then order the pizzas, and start filling them in! When you’re done, post your results on social media and tag @stuhelmfoodfan.

At the Pizza Fight, I have left it up to each of the competitors to choose their “specialty pie.” Home judges can choose whichever specialty pie they wish to. I suggest asking the pizza makers which pie they consider their “house special” or which one they submitted to the Pizza Fight, or just get whatcha want!

PUNK ROCK HOT DOGS

I know July is a long ways off, but mark your calendars now for Punk Rock Hot Dogs 2022. It's going to be VIP tickets only this time, and when they go up for sale, I have a feeling they're going to go fast! If you're a hot dog slinger who wants to compete in 2022, reach out to me at stuhelmavl@gmail.com.
